The issues that the current America has to show are its games. America has all these bloody games out, that a lot of parents buy for their children, when it gives them nightmares lot of these games that are being created is pure evil, and it puts in children's minds to do what they see in real life.
First of all Jean although you say these games are violent and abusing the mind of the children of our time, I am pretty sure that you have at least one or two of these violent games. In our country people don’t care about what the games or the music or the things that they put out on television Are doing to kids as long as it sells. When you said that the parents are buying games that gives their children nightmares it is almost a fact that most children take advantage of their parents especially if their parents are of old age. Children tell there parents whatever they think the parents should here so that they can get what they want. Children lie and sometimes even buy the games without their parent permission. Although for certain video games that are rated to high for children our age we still will find a way to get these games. No Matter especially if we really want it! Though we know it might not be right some kids are pressured or see that everyone has these games or they might think that’s what’s hot .So we really shouldn’t put parents in that category. Although they should know what their child or children or doing and what they possess.
Second muckrakers don't only find dirt on people that also find dirt about countries,things that happened in history etc.

I think the issue in America that needs to be exposed is the issue of the ozone layer which as you know is slowly withering away from pollution and hairspray chemicals. Most people would worry more about poltical scandels or terrorist attacks but i think that the ozone layer disapearing is more important,and thats because if it disapears we could get skin cancers from the sun harmful rays which greatly damages our lives.
Well Justin...Well there are some other things that are causing pollution. It isnt just hairpray causing pollution. Well yes hair spray is bad for the ozone layer. There are way much more worst things besides hairspray. I do agree that the ozone is wasting away and the sun is harm for the earth. While the ice caps are melting at this very moment it isnt just of hair spary...it could be anything such as factories burning, cars, people polltuing our water and people not recycling.
If muckracking is about things that are hidden and not exposed then I don't think racism would be something that needs to be muckracked about. I couldn't pick one person about who to disagree with when it came to racism because so many people said that as their answer. Ofcourse racism is still a huge problem in this country and it's a horrible thing. Racism still leads to violence, death and other terrible things. But racism in this country is not a secret. Everyone knows that racism still exists today. If muckracking is about exposing the truth about something that isnt exposed, racism definitely isn't it, because there is racism everywhere in this country and it's very exposed it's overexposed. Racism is not a scandal, it's everywhere. Besides things have definitely improved some, we do have an African American running for President of the United States. I just feel that muckracking should be about something that isn't so out there . To me racism is not a scandal it's just a reality, it exists, it's not some big secret that has to be uncovered so the world can find out about.

Isabella said that muckraker is someone who tries to expose any corruption or wrong doing when it comes to politics. I think that Isabella’s blog was significant. It stated what she thinks about Iraq and how the subject should be muckraked. War in Iraq is a tremendously horrible thing and I agree “you can not fight violence with violence”. Isabella says, she thinks that there is more to the war, than President Bush wanting freedom in Iraq, and I have some questions for Isabella. What do you think Bush “really” wants for Iraq or wants “from” Iraq? And.. Do you think that it is to really help the people in Iraq? What is the real reason, President Bush is risking our troops’ lives for the war, which is taking place in Iraq?

If people come to America for the so called "American Dream", then why do we have such a large population of homeless people? Why does a "Super Power" like the United States have so many people that don't have health insurance? My question towards Mr. Dedely is who is causing the poverty in this country? Why aren't people getting help also why don't people pay attention to the people who are poor ? How come everytime someone that you know goes poor and then so many people go to help them but when someone not known goes poor who helps them? Not all people have places to go when they are poor so why don't we help them ? They do say youth will lead us since we are the youth why don't we do something to help the poor. The government can't do anything it's not like our tears , our pain gets to them. So a person who knows how they feel should help them. Only because you never know when your day comes and your in their place and they are in yours.
My question is to Jean when he talks about muckraking games. Some games out there might be violent or scary, but that's why they have the ESRB ratings. These ratings help parents see if the level of violence or language is right for you. They are like the ratings you see when you go see a movie, they are rated from G, PG, PG-13, and R. Your parents should watch what you play in the first which limited young children even further. It is not like we should make cudly, kiddy games all the time, so they can't get the violent games. I'm sure a majority of people would vote aganist banning violent games. That is my opinion on violence in games.
alot of people said that the biggest thing to be muck raked is racism. racism has already been muck raked. rasism has already been on the newspapers and t.v.
my question is, do you really think rasism is something to muck rake even more than it should be?

The first thing I disagree is that to children's point of view not all games have influenced them to destroy or create choas at all. Most children find the games for entertainment and a good way to pass time by. People which have a bad day back from, for example school could just play a bloody game to control their stress. At a matter of fact its much better to take your anger on games, not on people.Children just wants to have fun and exercise their brains while at it. Do you think that cildren should not have any games to be entertain? How would games be dangerous to children?
