Dear Senator Barack Obama,

Almost five years passed as the Iraqi's War has began. How maby debates about this war has been discussed? How many innocent lives the war has gone with? How many riots against this war all over the world occur?
Eventually,Iraq will be stabilized at a time and their democracy will be established. But what about the police??...Thousands of innocent lives of all over the nation, and mostly Americans and Iraqis.
I have an idea about about the Iraqi War.If I could,I would withdrawal our troops from Iraq.Of course,we can not leave them ubruptly after what we have done to them. The limited contingent of our troops should stay there to help them. The rest we should bring them home. And instead of that we have to increase security of our country at the land,at the oceans,
and in the air.I believe that increasing security wouldn't cost that much as the useless and endless war in Iraq.Morever,I think it would have cost much less and we will be more safer than we are now.It wouldn't look as an
"iron certain" like it was in Russia ata time at the "Cold War".
Quite opposite,we will be welcome everyone and even our enemies, but security will be so technically high and, where it's necessary, such delicate that no one could make a harm to our country.
And regarding to our civil rights.
I think that the increasing security will not violate the American people's civil rights. If i'm a patriot and I love America, even if i'm not a patriot, but just a regular person,
because I will never even think about to make something against my country:terror, bombs, spies, and so on.These are nothing to do with private life of American people.
These are terrors against people, against the counrty and it has to prevent and only high penetrate security may do this job.
This is my point of view regarding the Iraqi's War.

My question is to Kainat.
Now, Kainat talks about how Mr. Bush's plan might back fire on him if the Iraqis find out that their being used just to finance Americas security.
I totally agree with Kainat on this. As Americans we should be helping Iraq, not just use it to our advantage. I think Bush is really making awful decisions that give Americans a bad name, like traitors.
My question to Kainat is, now that we know he really just wants to take advantage of Iraq. What do you think that the future of Iraq is going to be? What will happen to Iraqs citizens? Because If we secure our country it means destroying their country.

Dear Brian M,

You said that you believe that President Bush only started this war to finish his father's battle, and it was very selfish of him. Personally I agree, to your statement. But president bush believes that he started this war because he was afriad that they would attack the U.S so he started it before they did. Why do you believe that he started this was to finish his father's battle? But more importantly, why do you believe that President Bush thought they would attack us?

Jean I do agree with you. President Bush is saying some bad things. We are in War with Iraq and he is just saying that Iraq is an ally. Nothing will stop the terroist from bombing things. I just say we take our troops out of Iraq and drop a Nuclear bomb on Iraq and all the other countries helping them such as Al Queda.

I agree with Nancy. Nancy thinks that president Bush want to help Iraq to help defeat those who threatens them and us. Nancy thinks if president wanted to help them why didn't we help them in the first place? My question to you nancy is, What if Iraq wanted to destroy America in the first place?

My questions and comments are for Sofia. Sofia wrote that "The war in Iraq has clearly been a disaster". How can you say that it has clearly been a disaster when it hasn't even been completed yet? The war is still in progress, so it's impossible to declare an outcome on something that is still unresolved.
Sofia also wrote that, "Iraq does not need a war, it needs help, food, education, and restoring the country is what we should be doing". Sofia, that is exactly what we are doing. Only we aren't restoring things there because they didn't have anything there to begin with. Women weren't allowed to vote, or even leave their homes if their faces were uncovered. People were being killed and tortured for not supporting the regime. What about all the mass graves that were found in Iraq. Lets not forget how the people of Iraq celebrated once Saddam Hussein was overthrown. He was the same type of killer as Hitler was. He killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi people for his own selfish reasons. He had hundreds of castles filled with tons of art and other beautiful things while his people starved and didn't have clean water.
I don't underastand how defeating a man like this and freeing his country is a bad thing.
Yes many men and women in our military lost their lives. They put their lives on the line for freedom though. We have the greatest military in the world because we have brave men and women who fight for freedom and are willing to sacrifice their own lives to better others.
No the "American people did not vote for a war in Iraq" as you say but the American Senate did. THey wanted to rid the world of an evil man before he came and bombed our country. We are helping them build the first free Iraq that ever existed. If Hussein was still in power he would have continued to kill his people, enrich himself and allow his country to fall apart.
Please think carefully about your judgements on our efforts in Iraq. Think of all the people we saved and the free life that we gave them.

I agree with emily if President Bush helped Iraq the securtiy to the United States would be critical. Emily thinks that President Bush should think why there are other countries decides to bomb the U.S. besides Iraq. My question is why do you think that the free of Iraq would be unsafe for the U.S.?

Dear Viviana V,

I agree with what you have to say to protect Iraq and The United states. My question to you is ,President Bush is sending more and more troops but for who? For us or for his own advantage? Why are there more troops going to Iraq then coming back ? Weren't the troops supposed to come back and not stay in Iraq only because they finished there goal. Yet still the troops are there. President Bush is trying to help Iraq but for what? To win a war against Al Qaeda or to take over Al Qaeda and to take oil from Iraq?

Which one is he trying to accomplish? Both do still cause more problems for The United States. If we demolish Al Qaeda then Al Qaeda will come after us.If we help Iraq defeat Al Qaeda and then take their oil won't they think we helped them for oil? Either way The United States will get harmed.

Dear Victor Chan

You said that on September 14, 2007, President George Bush spoke about the occupation of the Iraq. Also about a new strategy for it. This is true and you also said that " General David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker declared before Congress about how the strategy is working out. They say the circumstances in Iraq is getting better. I agree with you because if Iraq is getting better we have a higher chance that we will not be evade our state. My question to you is that why do you think that strategy will turn out to be out when the plan can be backfired and it is not complete?

Dear Brian M.
In your letter you said that president bush went to war with Iraq was to finish his father’s battle, and it was very selfish of him. I strongly agree with your statement. Also president bush started this battle because he believed that Iraq would attack the U.S. so he started attacking before they did. My question to brain was why do you think that president bush thinks that the Iraq will attack the U.S.? Another question to Brian was why do you believe that bush started this war because his father didn’t finish the battle?

Jean I agree with you that President Bush is saying some bad things. You say that we are in War with Iraq and president bush is saying that Iraq is an ally. i don't think anything will stop the terroist from destoying nations that they probably don't like. I say we drop a bomb strong enough to wipe out most of them on Iraq and bring all the troops back to their homeland.

do you agree with this idea?

Dear Colin,
Reading your letter almost made me change my perspective on the war, but even so, i support my position. You said that "it would be a terrible thing to not finish the job in Iraq". My question to you is that, dont you think that sending fellow Americans to fight is terrible, and putting all of these innocent lives at risk? I think that is the crime in this situation.
iI also understand when you say that " If we rid Iraq of the terrorists we are less suseptible to being attacked by them." but what about now? Now that we are in war, terrorists might plot to fly a plane and bomb us. I dont think violance is the solution. I would lke Iraq to be a free country but it would be better with a different strategy and one without a war.

Dear Sofia,

You said that we should be helping Iraq, not destroying them, and that killing 1500 Iraqis per month is absurd. I agree with you 100 percent. But my question to you is, what can U.S citizens do about it? Sure we can go on strike but that won't make up Bush's mind. Another question is how do we stop Bush from sending and returning troops home? Me, personally, think that sending fellow Americans is wrong and disrespectful to families who love them.

Dear Viviana,
I truly agree with you when you said about how Bush sents troops to protect and secure Iraq. Despite the agreement I want to ask you what happen if we go there and help out so we can prevent more fiasco events, more will become terrorist and do president Bush think he can quell the choas just because he keeps senting more of U.S. soldiers to Iraq? Its our soldiers and most of them is in a family, what will happen if a husband of yours die in the bloody choas of Iraq, all they will do is call you and say "I feel bad for your loss but he die for fighting for our country". It still a dead man even if he fights for Bush's selfish order. Thinking more and more about this, I am starting to wonder if Bush is doing this for us or for his own greed and due to his trepidation of going their himself. All Bush does is sent us out into some countries busniess, why dont we still here and put more soldiers around and prevent them to come here which is more safer for our beloved soliders. It is not plausible for us or their families unless they join but their own free will. By Bush doing this is a thing to help more human beings or to get kill more Americans Human Soldiers dead because by preventing some choas they also take lives from us while we try to protect them!?

Sincerely Albert,

Dear Kainat,

Kainat is talking about how George Bush is using Iraq for financial purposes and if the Iraqis find out they may attack us. I do agree with Kainat though we should be helping them not using them. If they were to do that to the U.S. we wouldn't just sit around and let them use us. We would fight back.
My question to you Kainat is do you think we are improving Iraq or making their lives even worse then they it was before?

Dear Hillary Clinton,

The Iraq War was just instgated five years before. There had been alot of debates occuring between the senators about the war which had great effects on people's vote for the candidates.
This war started when Bush's father was in office. Bush thinks that if we help out with the terrorist problem in Iraq then they will be more democratic. He thinks helping Iraq will show the rest of the nation our power, but all he is doing is getting our U.S. troops killed by terrorists and causing sadness to families of the troops. Does Bush plan to complete what his father started when he was in office? Does Bush want to make Iraq look like a big war zone? The last question to you is, is Bush planning to save many citizens of Iraq, but at the same cost to murder many U.S. soldier as they try their best to protect them?

Sincerely
Albert,

Dear Sofia,

I do strongly agree that we should be helping Iraq. But there is really a big problem. And my question to the problem is,"How can we even possibly help Iraq"?
This idea can never happen in real life.If we could ever help Iraq, then we would lose a lot of innicent lives of people who tried to help Iraq. And this help would be all for nothng.
